An Open Letter To The Anxious Mama

Dear Mama

I get it.

I feel it too, sometimes

Motherhood is hard

Motherhood can be lonely

Admitting this fact does not make you or me a bad mom; neither does it mean you’re not grateful to be a mom. It does not mean you don’t love your children. It is a fact, Motherhood is hard.

Just when you thought you had figured it all out, a different stage hit you, and you are on your feet again, back to square root one.

When you had finally accepted your new identity and learned to love everything about the new you, there you are again, you’re struggling to adapt to this new version of yourself, and it’s all overwhelming.

Just yesterday you were singing and dancing to your child’s favorite song,

your heart was filled with so much joy when you looked at your child,

and you were so full of energy and loving everything about motherhood…

But here we are, today… the songs and everything around makes you sad, you feel empty, broken, and lonely

All these feelings do not mean you are a bad mom, they’re normal

Bad days, weeks, and months in motherhood do not define you as a mom – they’re just bad days, period.

A sick child, a toddler with full-blown tantrums is not a testament to a failing mom, No, that is all normal.

You may be feeling down, hopeless, sad, and lonely, but

Mama, it is going to be okay, it may not seem like it right now, but it will be.

Mama, you were chosen by God to be the mother of your child(ren) John 15:13 says “ You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit—fruit that will last—and so that whatever you ask in my name the Father will give you.”

Do you need strength in your motherhood journey – Ask God for He has promised to strengthen and help you

"So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand." Isaiah 41:10

Do you need someone to Guide you in your journey – Ask God, for He has promised to go before you and to always be with you.

It is the Lord who goes before you; He will be with you. He will not fail you or abandon you. Do not fear or be dismayed.” Deuteronomy 31:8

He will fight for you

The Lord will fight for you while you [only need to] keep silent and remain calm. Exodus 14:14

He will meet all your needs

You can be sure that God will take care of everything you need, his generosity exceeding even yours in the glory that pours from Jesus.Philippians 4:19

He knows what you need

..For your Father knows the things you have need of before you ask Him.Matthew 6:8b

He has a future for you and your children

For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.Jeremiah 29:11

He will make all things work for your good

And we know [with great confidence] that God [who is deeply concerned about us] causes all things to work together [as a plan] for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to His plan and purpose.Romans 8:28

Do not be anxious or worried about anything, but in everything [every circumstance and situation] by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, continue to make your [specific] requests known to God. And the peace of God [that peace which reassures the heart, that peace] which transcends all understanding, [that peace which] stands guard over your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus [is yours]. Philippians 4:6-7

Hold on to the hand of God, He Knows, He cares, He Sees and He is always with you.

Right now it may not seem like it but God is there for you mama

With Love,

from a Mama who understands
